E-Waste Round-Up

The Safety Office has arranged with the campus e-waste vendor, E-Cycle Environmental, to be on-site each month to collect campus generated e-waste.

 

Where: Campus Recycling Center located north of the Lura parking lot between Wilson Ave. and Michigan Ave.

 

When:  8:00 am - 12:00 noon on the first Wednesday of every month

 

Type of E-Waste Accepted:  computers, phones, scanners, VCRs, keyboards, servers, cell phones, PDAs, DVDs, mice, laptops, fax machines, printers, cassette players, stereos, monitors, batteries, shredders, flat screens, tape drives, copiers and docking stations

 

Please bring your e-waste to the recycling center on round-up day only.  If you need an e-waste pickup prior to the round-up day, please contact the Safety Office at ext.6727.

 

If you are unsure whether or not a particular item falls under an e-waste category, or you need assistance with the transfer of a large e-waste item, please contact the Safety Office (ext. 6727).  Please keep in mind that e-waste items which housed or utilized chemicals of any kind must be cleared by the Safety Office prior to disposal.

 

Got e-waste not generated on campus?  Household hazardous waste and universal waste (including e-waste) not generated on campus can be recylced at the Los Angeles-Glendale S.A.F.E Collection Center.
